Somehow the blog does not update itself. I guess sometimes I don't feel what I am doing in life is 'blog worthy', but then I get so far behind, I know I have to catch up. I am just coming out of the haze of getting sick and it ruining my most fun week of racing this summer. I had to drop out of the Mt. Hood Cycling Classic after 2 stages, although the first 2 I already felt like poo, I finally got smart and quit. I am still paying the price of racing when sick. I also had to miss the Blitz to the Barrel Dash for Cash. The most fun race I did last summer and I was really looking forward to it, catching up with friends (Katie Compton came to Bend for it), but I had to miss that too. Poor me, poor me, poor me. But there has been a lot of fun riding since the last post. Plus a weekend in Bend over Memorial Day weekend. We raced Bend Don't Brake & Sister's Stampede and then I had a pedal debacle on Monday while riding, but salvaged a good ride out of it. Since June arrived, I raced the first short track race and although I won, I crashed and put a nice dent in my side (read: sore ribs). Coughing was not very fun this past week. My other favorite summer activity, Mt. Tabor, has also started. I have won 2/2, but will have to sit out tonight as I continue to come out of my haze. I'm going to try to dig up some pictures to add to this post, because otherwise it is just a bunch of blah, blah, blah.
