Another amazing weekend...

Tim & I at the turn around point of our Saturday ride: one end of Surveyors.

I start to wonder if it gets better than this??? And after reading the reports about the muddy world cups, it makes the miles of riding singletrack in sunshine and 70 degrees even sweeter!!! And being at the cabin is just a little slice of heaven.
Saturday morning we left from the cabin down 'secret stash' to hwy 35 to Dog River, rode up Dog River and rode Surveyor's Ridge out and back and then back to the cabin. It was an abbreviated epic, heading down Zig-Zag to shorten it up a bit and get back to spend some time with our special guests. 43.5 miles and over 6000 feet of climbing it less than 5 hours was enough. Our good friends Paul & Andrea Weymiller and their kids came to hang out on their way back from Sunriver, driving back up to Washington. A perfect place for a break with 3 kids. They came through last week on Sunday, but after dinner, we had to head home. This time we had a big more time to get rowdy!
Sunday morning we made a big breakfast and got them on the road, and then we headed out for more fun riding. We decided to change it up a bit and ride Knebal Springs/Bottle Prairie backwards (clockwise), which I don't recommend. The other way is much more fun, imho. After that, we did 8 mile and then headed up to the top of trail 450 off of High Prairie (4420) and bombed down for a satisfying finish to our weekend. Too bad all that climbing only gives you about 15 minutes of descending. But it was so worth it...

Rockin' out on Surveyors on Saturday.

And again... The views never disappoint.
